Master of Surgery in Obstetrics and Gynecology, popularly known as MS Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a three-year postgraduate program for Indian doctors. Candidates should have completed a one-year compulsory rotating internship as prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The candidate must be registered with any of the State Medical Councils.

Admission Procedures

The gateway to MS Obstetrics and Gynecology is through a national-level centralized entrance test called the NEET PG entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

But, Medical institutions like AIIMS, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology etc are not covered by centralized admissions for MS seats through NEET-PG.
